This unique necklace is hand crafted from fine grain concrete pearls. Each element is cast, sanded, and polished by hand. Each pearl has its own character of bubbles, finish, and complexion. The stones are arranged in a light to dark gradient of gray tones on a sterling silver beading chain with a sterling silver clasp.

This unusual twist on a classic pearl necklace is smooth to the touch, strong, and surprisingly light weight. This necklace has subtly changing gray "pearls", arranged in an 18" ombre pattern. Over time and with wear, the character of the necklace will evolve as its surface smooths and tones deepen from the natural oils of your skin.

Due to the handmade nature of this jewelry, minor variations between pieces are to be expected and help make each item unique.

Personal service and a really beautiful necklace

OK, "Knickerbaubles" sounds a little like scrotal contents, though the 'crown jewels' comparison is perhaps apt, because this is a gorgeous piece of work, and my wife was delighted with it. The subtle colour gradations are wonderful, and the overall effect exactly as I'd hoped when I saw them in a 'recommended presents' column in an Architecture magazine. A couple of things that perhaps are not evident from the photos and description are the weight and texture of these 'pearls.' They are substantial (without being so heavy as to be uncomfortable on a slender neck, which is how my wife is equipped), and they feel silky to the touch. As instructed, they'll be kept away from oils and creams and perfumes, which should be easy since my wife never wears makeup and seldom perfume. All in all, a more than satisfactory purchase, and I shall keep an eye on Krista's site for future possibilities!
